Fitch Even was featured in IP Law360’s article, “Inside Fitch Even’s Play To Reclaim Patent Litigation Work,” spotlighting the strategic alliance between Fitch Even and dispute resolution law firm, MoloLamken. Fitch Even’s move reasserts its prominence in the competitive patent litigation arena, traditionally dominated by larger firms.

Managing Partner Mark Hetzler was quoted, articulating the vision behind the alliance: “The idea is that the collaboration between MoloLamken and Fitch will start to become an item on the short list of go-to litigation firms when in-house counsel are selecting counsel for their most serious litigation. That is the goal.”

The article further explores how the alliance is expected to benefit both firms. Steven F. Molo of MoloLamken expressed his perspective on the alliance: “They have really deep expertise in specific areas we needed,” acknowledging the mutual advantages the firms bring to the table.

Heidi Gardner of Harvard Law School’s Center on the Legal Profession weighed in on the potential of such collaborations, leaving the article to note, “It can be particularly successful with small- to midsize firms, since it’s easier for attorneys to get to know and trust each other, which is crucial for making a more flexible arrangement like this function as intended.”

The article also concludes that the firm’s recent addition of the litigation expertise of Robert Whitman and Mark S. Raskin to its team solidifies its commitment to staying at the forefront of intellectual property litigation. These additions, coupled with the strategic alliance, underscores the firm’s innovative approach to a legal landscape that is increasingly competitive.
